Our Lady and Child
‘The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.’ ‘In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it’ (John 1.14, 4-5). As we move forward into an uncertain new year during this dark time of pandemic we take comfort and hope from Jesus our Emmanuel, God with us. ‘Your word [Lord] is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path’ (Psalm 119.105).
