Autumn services

Good news.  There will be more services at St Disen’s from the beginning of October.  The first Sunday of the month, 4th October sees the reintroduction of our All Age Worship at 10.30am.  This will be preceded by Holy Communion at 9.00am.  Then on 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 14th October we will be starting our mid-week communion services again, at 10.00am.

For those who are unable to join us on a Sunday or Wednesday service, please do join with us if you can by saying the Lord’s Prayer at those times.  Do take a look also at our Altogether not Together page for ways in which you can access services online, not just on a Sunday but anytime.

(Please note that all may be liable to change or cancellation, depending on changing coronavirus advice.)

Devon Historic Churches Day : Saturday 12th September 2020

The Devon Historic Churches Trust helps fund repairs and maintenance to churches across the county.  Their main fundraising day this year is Saturday 12th September, a special day dedicated to supporting and celebrating the work of all Devon churches and the communities they serve and which incorporates the national Ride & Stride event.

We regret that our church is not open to visitors at the moment but there is still much to see around the outside.  And, of course, you are more than welcome to come back and join us for one of our new, socially distanced, Sunday morning services at 10.30am.

Services resume

Good news.  Services will be resuming in St Disen’s Church on Sunday mornings at 10.30am from 2nd August.

They won’t be ‘normal’ services as social distancing rules will still apply and there will be no hymns but the important thing is that we will be able to come together again to worship God.

St Disen’s re-opens on 12th July

We are pleased to announce that St Disen’s Church will re-open for private prayer and reflection on Sunday mornings from 12th July, 10.00-12.00.  Everyone is most welcome.

There will be hand sanitisers and social distancing and you will be asked to give your contact details at the door.

Prayer ribbons

As we cannot gather together in church at the moment we invite you come and tie a ribbon to the gate of the Bradninch Guildhall and say a prayer for those who are struggling and those who are helping.

Christian Aid Week 10th-16th May

No door to door collections or coffee mornings this year, but your donation is still desperately needed.  You can donate on-line  or by post to: Christian Aid, 35 Lower Marsh, LONDON SE17RL.  Cheques to be made payable to ‘Christian Aid’.

Thank you so much, God bless and keep safe.  Ros and Sarah

Sunday Mornings

We may not be able to come together in church at the moment but we invite you to join us in saying the Lord’s Prayer every Sunday morning at 10.30.

And take a look at our Altogether Not Together page for information on ways in which we, during these difficult times, can come together spiritually as the people of God (1 Peter 2.9).  God bless.

New Website for Bradninch Together

Bradninch Together, an initiative offering informal support for local people by local people now has its own website – https://www.bradninchtogether.org.uk/  You will find plenty of information here on practical support.  In addition to how you can obtain local help with shopping, dog walking and collecting prescriptions.  There are also links to resources for health and well-being, parents and children, local food suppliers and much more.

Happy Easter

Today is a day of hope as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.  He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!

An update and an Easter Message from Revd. Olly Mears is available now to watch on youtube .

Happy Easter to everyone from all of us here at St Disen’s.

Altogether even when not together

We may not be able to meet as a church to worship and pray during these difficult times but that doesn’t mean we can’t come together in other ways.  So please do take a look at our new Altogether Not Together page for some different ways in which we can still be together spiritually as the people of God (1 Peter 2.9).  God bless.

And we invite you to join with us at 10.30am on Easter Sunday to say The Lord’s Prayer together.
