What’s On

Sunday services for March begin with Holy Communion on 3rd March at 9.00pm.  This will be followed by our All Age Service at 10.30am.  Refreshments will be served in the Church Hall in between the two services, from 9.45am.

Sunday 10th March is Mothering Sunday.  We’ll be having a special All Age Service on that morning at 10.30am to give thanks for and celebrate all those people, especially the women, who have cared for us and nurtured us.  On Sunday 17th it will be All Age Communion, again at 10.30am.  Refreshments will be served in the church hall after both services.

Sunday 24th March is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week. Join with us as we gather outside the Guildhall at 10.15am to walk down to St Disen’s Church following Isachaar the donkey, in celebration of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey, while the crowds waved palm branches, shouting ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’.  Our service then continues in the church, with refreshments afterwards in the church hall.

On Maundy Thursday, 6th April, there will be a Reflective Communion Service in the church hall at 7.30pm and on Good Friday we have a Walk of Witness.

On Easter Sunday there is a Sunrise Service at Christ Cross at 6.30am with breakfast available afterwards.  Then we’re back in Bradninch for the 10.30am Easter Communion service at St Disen’s, with refreshments afterwards.

ROOTS continues throughout Lent on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm in the church hall.  This is our space for taking faith a bit deeper. It combines learning, conversation, prayer and worship.  Our series for Lent focuses on ‘Living with Weakness’,

Our monthly Knit and Natter is on Tuesday 19th March, in the church hall from 2.00pm.  Bring along any craft, not just knitting or just come and enjoy a natter and a cuppa.

You can be sure of a warm welcome at our Wednesday Welcome, in the church hall every Wednesday, from 10.00am-2.00pm.  You’ll find a warm, safe, free space for community with hot drinks, cakes, soup and more.

We have a monthly collection for external charities and causes. This month we will be collecting for  Christian Response to Eastern Europe.  You can find our more about the work of cr2ee, who are a local Devon charity, and make a donation if you would like by following this link.

Details of all our upcoming services and events can be found on our What’s On calendar.
