With events including a fun run/walk and morris dancing, community picnic, stalls and lots of activities there will be something for everyone at the Bradninch Fair this coming Saturday, 25th September. St Disen’s Church will be open in the morning, 10.00am till 1.00pm. So why not come and take a closer look at our medieval screen or see if you recognise anyone in one of our vintage photos of the choir in years gone by.
Come and join us for the first of our autumn Sunday afternoon concerts on 19th September at 5.00pm. Helen Porter, a multi-talented musician, composer and singer, will be presenting her ‘Unexpected Song’.
Then on 3rd October, Trio Exe invite us to join them on a Russian Romance, a musical journey to Russia in the 1890s and on 24th October Philip Garson will treat us to some of the great piano classics.

Our two children’s groups, Tiddlywinks for babies and toddlers and Messy Church for children of all ages will be starting again on Wednesday, 15th September. Tiddlywinks is at 9.30am in St Disen’s Hall and will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month and Messy Church will be at the Baptist Church from 3.30pm on the third Wednesday.
And, our All Age Service will be back on the first Sunday of the month, starting 3rd October at 10.30am. For anyone and everyone with music, space for reflection and prayer and a lot of fun! We look forward to welcoming you there.

The second Saturday in September (this year 11th September) is Devon Historic Churches Day the main fund raising event for the Devon Historic Churches Trust. The day incorporates Ride & Stride, a national initiative to encourage people to walk, run or cycle to visit their local or not so local church(es).
The DHCT was founded in 1973 in order to raise money to fund repairs to any and all of Devon’s 600 plus parish churches. If you would like to give a donation please visit their web page.
St Disen’s will be open on Saturday 11th September, 2.00 – 4.00pm. We are also now open regularly on Wednesdays and will be open too on Saturday, 25th September coinciding with the Bradninch Fair and from the beginning of October the church will be daily Monday-Saturday, approx. 10.00am – 4.00pm and for worship on Sunday mornings.
