Between 7.00pm on Thursday 6th and 7.00pm on Sunday 9th June St Disens Hall will be transformed into a creative 24/7 Prayer Space. There will be prayer stations for creative prayer, plus music and a mocktail bar during some of the sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The prayer space will be opened on Thursday 6th June with a special Altogether Session of worship and prayer. All are welcome to join us as we come together to pray for God’s presence in our community and ignite people’s hearts with love for Him. For more information and/or to book a prayer slot please contact Revd Olly.
Come and join us for a Cream Tea next Sunday afternoon, 12th May in aid of Christian Aid and help support the world’s poorest people.

Work has started on the repair and restoration of the organ. The organ dates from 1889 when it was rebuilt by Messrs Hele & Sons of Plymouth using parts from an earlier organ. It was overhauled just after the end of the Second World War and again in 1979 but is now once again in need of some repair. Thank you to all who have helped raise the funds to enable the repairs to be undertaken.
Blessed with fine weather, Easter this year saw the solemnity of Good Friday’s Walk of Witness in remembrance of Jesus’ crucifixion move to the joy of celebrating his resurrection on Easter Sunday. A day that was made more special, as we also had a baptism. Congratulations to Luke. And in between there was the fun of our Eggstravaganza, including a grand Easter Egg hunt. Our thanks to all who helped out over the weekend and also to those who decorated the church for Easter – it looked its very best. Our thoughts and prayers, however, are also with all those caught up in the bomb attacks in Sri Lanka.
Many thanks to those who supported the Lent Lunches on Fridays during Lent. As a result of your generosity we have been able to send a donation of £204.00 to SHELTER.
St Disen’s joined with other churches and cathedrals across the country on Thursday evening as the bells tolled for 7 minutes at 7.00pm as a mark of solidarity following the devastating fire at Notre Dame.
